Arthur Ashe -
Walk Across America, from Alfred New York to Florence Oregon. The same route taken by Peter Jenkins who wrote the New York Times best seller Walk Across America. 2697 miles so google says that would take 35days and 15 hour of nonstop walking! In reality it took Jenkins from October 1973 to January 1979 to complete his trek, but this did include stop offs to work jobs to earn money to carry on his journey.
